Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself

Stove Top 38: Who I am politically

To the ~800 of you coming from Cyber Spatial, welcome. This is where I (Stephen Flanders) write about politics/tech/culture. Considering that you’re brand new, in the interest of transparency, here’s where I fall on the political spectrum:

In short, I’m pro-liberty, pro-capitalism, pro-tech, pro-privacy, pro-immigration, and pro-crypto. Some of my more “controversial” positions are:

1) Social security is legalized theft from people who need money (young people) to people who don’t need money (old people). And it’s a major contributor to the country's most pressing issue: the national debt.

2) We should be taking in as much immigration as possible. I’m talking open borders levels of immigration.

3) International law is completely worthless, so it is extremely important to be a strong nation. America is largely good, so the world’s better off with it as the dominant power. We’re dangerously close to not being that dominant power, so we should beef up military spending — a lot.

4) The biggest thing holding most people back is a lack of agency. AKA, they have no dog in them. The Republicans appeal to this dog-lacking by telling you they will keep you safe from the cheap Chinese factories and evil immigrants, while the Democrats appeal to it by telling you they are going to tax those evil billionaires. Nobody tells you the truth: if you want to make it, just fucking work harder.

So, there you have it. If you want to read more of my stuff before committing to stick around, I think some of my best articles include:

If this at all sounds interesting to you, then I hope you stick around. Otherwise, have a great day!

I’ve been off the last two weeks, so no lead story, but here are the links I’ve collected in that time:

Back with the regularly programmed content next week.

Also, I’m starting to run beta tests on my WordPress plugin, Raffle Leader. If you’re interested in trying it out, let me know.
